ENTERVIEW WITH THE PLAYER DIEGO COSTA OLIVEIRA FROM FC UFA, RUSSIA

August 8th, 2015

It was a great pleasure interviewed the football player Diego Carlos Oliveira from FC Ufa. He received me at his home in the center of city in Russia. The interview during 50 minutes divided in three parts. The first two blocks were about his football life story: how to play in the first division of Russian Premier League, difficulties with language, Brazilian Selection and others. The interview also included the participation of Diego’s wife, Flávia Costa. I want to thank Diego Carlos for the opportunity to give this interview. I recommend watch the three videos to discover about the behind the scenes of Russian Premier League: playing with temperatures of 20 degrees below zero and running in the field full of snow.

about RUB 1 billion rubles, USD300 thousand dollars per season to keep the club in the first division of Russian Premier League. I said to Diego the training it was really nice, because I have talk to the players, took pictures and watched them training so close. I am passionate about football, I wanted to wear a boot and ask to the coach if I could train also. The atmosphere of a football stadium is vibrant. The field, the smell of grass, cones from the physical training, the gate, the network, the training before the games and soccer friends. Everything that surrounds from football makes my heart beat faster.

PRIBELSKY: COUNTRYSIDE IN UFA, RUSSIA!

July 15th, 2015

Today I visited a part of Russia that I never expected that exist, but I loved it. From the center of Ufa one hour drive is located the Pribelsky’s Countryside. With 5.000 population, Ufa’s neighborhood still keeping the roots of agricultural country life. The local people work with agricultural, while others increase the herd of cows to help the biggest Milk Factory in the region. By the way, on my arrival I was greeted by a group of cows. The children still have a luck to play in the nature. There are many forest with trees, lakes and animals. The River Belaya also helps to attract fishers from other neighboring cities. Many people who live in Ufa choose Priblesky to spend the weekend. I think during the last days I was the unique tourist lost in the neighborhood. Lucky for me, I could take my girlfriend to enjoy the smell of wet earth, pick fruit directly from the foot, walking without shoes and play with animals. I want to thank our friend Ramill, who kindly borrow us his boat to cross the river. A crossing the other side of the river…

there is a forest where people go to pick mushroom. Many houses from Pribelsky keep the history of the Second World War. The grandfather of my fiance Gidyat Gizatullin he participated in the Second World War. After four years of war Gidyat returned home alive to his family and to tell the stories of the battles between the Soviet Union and Germany of Adolf Hitler. Beyond hearing from Miss Rosa the stories about the second war, I had also the opportunity to sleep in a house built in 1951 by the German soldiers. The daughter of Gidyat, Rosa Gizatullina told me that after the end of the Second World War in 1945 the German soldiers captured by the Russian Army had to work to pay for the “victory” of Soviet Union. From 1946 until 1956 Pribelsky served as a labor camp for Germans Captives. One of the tasks was build houses and schools. The house showed by the photo below is one of that. The Germans built also two factories in Pribelsky, one of sugar and other of milk. Both of the factories works until now.

PHOTO EXHIBITIONS OF CATALAN “JOAN DELGADO ESCALONA” – Part. 2

July 12th, 2015

The story of my friendship with Catalan Joan Delgado Escalona started on board the ship MSC Orchestra. He worked in the casino and I was in the excursion. Working in different departments we always had opposite schedules. One thing we had in common, the passion for football and the friendship of Sara Tomio. The first time we met each other was watching a match of Barcelona in the crew bar. The friendship continued beyond the seven seas. After the end of the contract we went to our respective cities. I went to Araçatuba in Brazil and he to Barcelona in Spain. After almost one year we found ourselves in another ship, this time on MSC Poesia. One day talking about football Joan Delgado Escalona told me about his passion for photography. He showed me some pictures taken in places where we had visited. When he showed me them I soon realized that Joan Delgado…

Escalona has a special skills for pictures. I mean, he has the clinical eye and sensitivity to take unique photos from simple places that we do not get. When I disembark from Poesia and Joan had his transfer to another ship, I decided to honor him with an exclusive exhibition of his photos on my blog. As are many photos I’ll divide the exhibition in two posts. The exhibitions will display photos of landscapes, beautiful places, historic towns, anonymous people, among other curiosities. Joan Delgado Escalona revealed to me that once he won a photography competition in Spain of a photo he took in Tallin, Estonia. Unfortunately this picture will be not displayed in the exhibition because he sold it and the buyer gets all photo legal rights. If anyone has interest in Joan Delgado Escalona’s photos, please contact directly the photographer by his e-mail jadecontrol@gmail.com
